Asuboe to get tourist site soon
As various Metropolitan Municipal and District assemblies continue to explore the potentials of their resources for economic growth, the Kadjebi District has identified a confluence at Asuboe to be developed into a tourist site.
The assembly has started plans to develop this confluence of River Wawa and River Manu into a new tourist in order to play significant role in the tourism industry in the country.
Mr. Komla Anthony Foster, District Budget Officer told Ghanadistricts.com that that the site will be designed and provided with facilities to meet the aspiration of tourists. Some unique features according to him would include traditional kitchen to serve local dishes, sheds, first aid centre, and tourist guide among others.
He indicated that different species of fish are found in the river and the assembly is also planning to include aqua-culture as away of increasing fish production to meet demands of the people and for other markets.
And since every society has pride in its culture values, cultural troops would be available to also entertain tourists and to showcase the rich culture of the people in the area.
He expressed confident that theses measures would also go a long way to increase the financial strength of the assembly to be able to undertake more developments in the various communities.
